Dental Crowns & Bridges in Henderson, NV

Crowns and Bridges Made to Fit the First Time

A crown covers and protects a tooth that is cracked, badly decayed, or worn down; a bridge fills the space where a tooth is missing by anchoring to the teeth on either side. Both are only as good as the lab that makes them. At Densley Dental, Dr. Aman Sidhu works closely with our lab team to match shade, shape, and bite with precision, which is why our crowns fit the first time and look like they belong. Ours are crafted right here in Henderson by our trusted lab partner, AMR Dental Ceramics.

When You Need a Crown

  • A tooth is cracked or broken and a filling will not hold it together
  • Decay is too large for a filling
  • A tooth has had a root canal and needs protection from fracturing
  • An old, large filling is failing and the remaining tooth is weak
  • A tooth is severely worn from grinding
  • A dental implant needs its final tooth
  • You want to improve the shape or color of a tooth that a veneer cannot fix

Crown Materials

We use all-porcelain and zirconia crowns for most cases because they are strong and look like natural enamel. Zirconia is the toughest option for molars and for patients who grind. Porcelain layered over zirconia gives front teeth the most natural translucency. Metal crowns are rarely needed today, but we will recommend whichever material is right for the tooth and your bite.

The Crown Process at Densley Dental

Visit one

The tooth is numbed and shaped to make room for the crown. We take a digital iTero scan instead of a tray of impression material, choose the shade with you in natural light, and place a temporary crown.

In Our Lab

Our lab partner builds the crown from the digital scan. We coordinate closely on shade and shape so nothing gets lost between the chair and the lab.

Visit two

We try in the crown, check the fit, the contact with neighboring teeth, and the bite, then bond it permanently. You can eat on it the same day.

Dental Bridges

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth with a false tooth (or teeth) held in place by crowns on the neighboring teeth or by dental implants. A traditional bridge is a good choice when the neighboring teeth already need crowns; an implant-supported bridge is the choice when they are healthy and you want to leave them alone. Either way, closing the gap stops your other teeth from drifting and restores your ability to chew evenly.

Caring for Crowns and Bridges

Brush and floss as usual, and use a floss threader or water flosser under a bridge. Avoid chewing ice and hard candy, and wear a night guard if you grind. At your regular cleanings we check the edges of every crown for wear or decay so small issues stay small.
