Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or a resin material, which are bonded to the front of the teeth. The procedure requires little or no anesthesia and is an ideal choice for improving the appearance of your teeth. They’re used to mask discolorations, make teeth seem whiter, and more.
Root canals are performed in cases where your tooth is damaged internally. The damage can be done when you chip or break a tooth, have a poor filling procedure, or from aging. Regardless of what the cause is, it is very important to get a root canal to save your tooth.
If you have an infection in the tooth, your dentist will recommend that you start antibiotics before receiving our root canal treatment. A dental x-ray is performed, then your tooth is numbed. Your dentist will remove the nerve and any infected tissue from the tooth through a small hole they drill into it. The tooth is dryed and sealed. A permanent or temporary filing is used to close the tooth, or we use a crown instead, which will prevent cracking of the tooth in the future.
